Lou Pinet in Saint-Tropez
With the Pariente family at the helm (already in charge of the Apogee in Courchevel or Crillon Le Brave in Provence), Lou Pinet has just opened its doors a mere stone’s throw from Place des Lices. Imagined as a welcoming family home, the new five-star hotel meets all of our criteria: a giant pool with a breath-taking view of a Saint-Tropez garden by landscaper Jean Mus, a Tata Harper spa, a Beefbar restaurant, colorful rooms designed by interior decorator Charles Zana… Everything you could dream for in an ideal summer.

Le Cheval Blanc in Saint-Tropez
Within the walls of the former Résidence de la Pinède, the Cheval Blanc Saint-Tropez has opened just in time for the summer. Facing the Bouillabaisse beach, this luxurious hotel, in collaboration with LVMH, was entirely redecorated by Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Favoring immaculate designs and blue Azur color tones, the interior features appropriate contemporary accents. On the program? Sunbathing by the beautiful pool, swimming at the private beach, lunch on the tree-lined terrace, a relaxing spa day at the Guerlain spa, and a star-studded dinner at the Vague D’Or, the gourmet restaurant by Chef Arnaud Donckele… Nothing is left up to chance.

Epi 1959 in Pampleonne
The opening of the revamped Epi 1959 in Ramatuelle, was undoubtedly the good news of last summer. In reimagining one of the most legendary hotels in Pampelonne, Monica Damonte succeeds in modernizing the space, while remaining true to its 1960s spirit. Far from the big resorts, there are ten eloquent rooms, decorated with rattan furniture, colored windows, and vintage floral fabrics… On the landscape side of things, Madison Cox, who designed the Majorelle garden in Marrakech, reinvents the grounds with a spirit of Provence, abounding with olive trees, colzas, lavender… an ode to Southern France. Activities include tennis, swimming in the pool, delicious meals, fresh langoustine, and an aperitif facing the shimmering Mediterranean as a cap for the day. A true paradise.

Lily of the Valley à la Croix Valmer
A short distance from Saint-Tropez, in the lush greenery of Cape Lardier, Lily of the Valley stands out as one of the top new hotels for summer 2019. Opened in mid-June, Philippe Starck’s first project on the Côte d'Azur took inspiration from the hanging gardens of Babylon, the Provençal abbeys, and Californian villas. The hotel is a charming pied-à-terre composed of 44 luxurious rooms and suites, also featuring a spa offering a series of wellness treatments, and an organic restaurant serving locally sourced foods… All just a few steps from the area’s beautiful beaches.
